Apple Pay is a deposit option, not a separate bank balance
Paddy Power includes Apple Pay beside debit cards in its deposit instructions. When you select it, the wallet presents the underlying card and asks you to authorise the purchase. The operator’s guide says Apple Pay is not counted toward the limit of three saved debit cards, so adding Apple Pay does not take one of those card positions.
The cashier can prefill the amount with the last amount used. If you replace it with a smaller figure, the guide says an error can appear. Read the amount, minimum and any instructions displayed for this attempt rather than relying on an amount saved from a previous session.
Choose the right route
How a withdrawal reaches the linked card
A withdrawal is offered to an eligible card route, not to an abstract Apple Pay wallet balance. Paddy Power’s payment FAQ says Visa debit or prepaid cards, including eligible cards linked through Apple Pay, can receive a faster card payout; limits apply. Other card payouts can take several working days while the issuer posts the transaction.
Open the withdrawal screen to see which linked card is available and what time estimate applies. If the card is not listed, choose a route the cashier offers, such as Pay by Bank, instead of assuming the wallet will receive a payout.

Check offer terms before you tap
Paddy Power’s help centre gives debit card and Apple Pay as methods for some qualifying promotions. The wording is offer-specific: it does not confirm that every promo accepts Apple Pay or that every card deposit triggers a reward. Verify the offer’s required deposit method and amount on its current terms before using the wallet.
If the wallet opens but the underlying card is declined, the payment provider handles the authorisation. Keep the confirmation screen open until the result appears. If you are unsure whether the wallet attempt completed, check the account history before making another deposit.
If the transaction stops
If Apple Pay does not finish
The wallet sheet does not open
Check that Apple Pay is available on the device and that a card is set up in Wallet. If a browser pop-up or bank verification is required, allow the requested screen and return to the cashier before trying again.
The saved amount is rejected
Paddy Power notes that Apple Pay and card amounts can be prefilled with the last deposit. Enter an amount that meets the current cashier minimum and is not below the saved amount that triggered the error.
The bank shows a debit but no credit
Check Wallet, the bank app and Paddy Power transaction history to see whether the payment is pending or reversed. Avoid sending a second payment while the first is unresolved. If the charge remains, give support the time and amount so they can trace it.
Before a payout
Documents and account matching
Apple Pay uses a linked payment card. Keep the wallet card and Paddy Power account details in the same account holder’s name. If an account review requests a document before payout, provide it through the account support flow and follow the exact request shown there.
Paddy Power does not charge the transaction; your provider may apply its own charge. The Irish cashier displays the current method limits.
Check the current offer terms; some qualifying deposits require a debit card or Apple Pay.
