Decimal odds

Decimal odds express the total return per unit staked, including the original stake. Multiply the stake by the decimal odds to calculate a potential gross return. For example, the calculator below performs the multiplication using the values you enter;

A return is different from profit. To estimate the amount above the original stake, subtract the stake from the gross return. Always use the price shown in the current market and review the final betslip because a price can change before confirmation.

Fractional odds

Fractional odds express potential profit relative to stake. A fraction such as 5/1 means five units of potential profit for each one unit staked, with the original stake returned separately if the selection wins. To calculate gross return, multiply the stake by the numerator divided by the denominator, then add the original stake.

The tool below handles decimal and fractional inputs. Enter a positive stake and valid odds; the result is an arithmetic illustration. It is not a forecast, guaranteed return or live quote.
